Happy Winter Solstice. So glad you're here with us, because one of the key things to do on the darkest day of the year is to gather with your good friends. So as it's been the darkest day of the year, what that means in yoga is that just as trough implies crest and crest implies trough, on the darkest day of the year we give birth to the sun again. And this is what happens in the dark, all good things are born in the dark. So each of us have done our best to try to share a sequence that helps us nourish our grounding, darker, more sensitive places, as well as honors the opportunity for inspiration.

Eden? I'll be sharing a gentle grounding practice, allowing us to tune into our inner light, nourish that, and giving us a little space to self-reflect, as well as celebrate and be open to what's to come. Alana? I'll be sharing a mellow floor practice, opening with my favorite restorative posture. So we'll be gathering up and using props to support our body, to support ourselves.

And then finding some easy movement, just to create some space in the body, hopefully quiet the mind, and then close with a sweet, long shavasana, just to really nourish the inner light within. And I do my best to share a practice that I often find myself doing at home, where it just starts low to the ground, almost yin-like holds, but then eventually builds to support my courage to move forward into the day. So happy to be here with my friends, Eden and Alana, and of course you. Thank you for joining us on this day, and may you pay close attention to what it is that you're giving birth to today. Love.

A practice "...to support my courage to move into the day..." A potent intention as we move into this winter season. Happy solstice to all, and thank you!
