HI Alana, very happy I found this practice today. My lower back is painful today, but I found some relief in this flow. Lovely, gentle pace, where I could really breathe in the asanas. Love the spinal twists, but I can't quite get my arm around the bent leg to fully breathe and enjoy the twist. What can I do to still benefit from the twist without wrapping my arm around the knee? Very grateful for this session.
Hi Joan, I hope your back is feeling better. I'm so glad that you found some relief with this practice. Are you referring to the seated spinal twist towards the end? You might try sitting up on blanket or bolster, or even explore sitting in a chair a finding a gentle twist (without using the strength of your arms to twist or hold you). Please let me know what you find along the way. So glad you are here! Love, Alana
Hi Alana, today was a breakthrough day for me. The more I do a practice I eventually find the complete release of muscles and positions my body has been so used to holding. That happened today in downward dog, where my shoulders finally released, and also in the seated twist, with my hips being more open and grounded . I have become more aware of the stretch and counter stretch/ push and counter push of the body in each pose. Glorious🌞 Grateful for your instruction.
Wonderful Glenford! I hope you were able to carry the calm energy into your day and share. That's one of the ways we know our practice is "working". So happy to be in this together.
