We could be searching all our lives for the practice / technique that we feel will bring us closer to the samādhi state, thereby missing out on being present here and now.  A tricky balance.  I also feel that we need to return to 1.33 even as we are working with the options...even if 1.33 is those super vast concepts that we may not be adept at.  Not too little / not too much detail, a middle state.  Thank you James, again, for the recap of chapter one, everytime a revelation and new insights

Yes, I agree Caroline, and I think I mentioned and emphasised it back in the chapter one course and the recap of chapter one, how I consider 1.33 the key practice, and a way to help notice and diagnose how our practice is working

It's good to have a road map to samadhi... but it always feels very theoretical for me, not very experiential... thank goodness for chapter 2! (and 1.33!)
