These two verses are so amazing - first the realisation that learning occurs in the plateau, the place where we think we are stuck but in reality integration and learning happens.  Then the question you posed James, does hearing something offensive / against what I know / my viewpoint, stop me from taking anything else in?  And the requirement that cultivation of that steady open minded awareness is yoga - mind blowing stuff, very grateful to have heard this today !
