Very effective Kira. Loved the fluidity of the neck and shoulder stretches. This focus on how the shoulders move each other and the relation to the hips helped me in squaring up much more simply. Love your teachings.
I do have a question about pinning our hands under our backs. My wrist and hand sort of panic in that position; there's a little fear and pain there. Does this just mean I've tried to "snoogle" my hand too high?
Great question, Kate. I am generally of the school that the practice should not hurt into a place that causes fear. Is it the same on both sides? Seems like you are on the right track to experiment with lowering the hand a little towards your sacrum. Also, everyone's anatomy is so different the particular unique rotation of your shoulders and elbows and other things will affect how this feels in your writs Please do muck around and let me know if you find a workable solution, otherwise there are many ways to accomplish this same thing with less intensity. xok
Another practice that makes feel really good during-afterwards. The bow and arrow asanas were really strengthening. Always love how you soften my body. He really appreciates it. You made a comment about feeling a breeze after coming out of the shoulder opening. Looking forward to experiencing that in the future. Enjoy your holiday weekend—if you celebrate one or both or none… Does Yoga have holidays?
