Appreciate the quiet once in the pose, some restorative teachers talk all the way thru, telling me what to feel, or giving breath or visualization cues + never giving time to experience the guided direction. So thanks, need quiet.
Thank you, Cicero. Quiet is KING. I find that sometimes when my mind is chasing thoughts, some direction is needed. And other times I crave the quiet -- and only the quiet. The beauty of restorative yoga is that sometimes "a little dab will do 'ya" in either direction. Thanks for sharing your experience. :)
Hello, again a wonderful practice. Can you please say a little bit more about the "half leg into the chest" pose? What is the effect? Why do you use the strap in this way? How tight should the strap be? Sorry, for so meany questions and thank you. Silke
Absolute gorgeous. Really enjoyed using my sandbags. Can we have more classes using this fantastic prop? I ordered my empty bags on-line and filled using children’s play pit sand, which is really easy to get hold of in garden centres and toy shops, here in the UK. You did a great job getting the pace just right as it does take me some time to get my props in the most appropriate place sometimes! Many thanks. kim
Hi Leeann I have just practiced this with you and it was lovely. Uttrasana is my nemesis but this restorative version really helped release the mental block I have of this challenging pose. I really did struggle with the reclined wind released pose and strap management. I felt very uncomfortable and adjusted so much to try and feel the benefit if using the strap. I did settle but I felt like I was cutting off my blood supply between my thigh and abdominal region. If I loosened it I had to use too much effort to hold the leg to the chest, Maybe this is a work in progress for me.? Thank you for such a thoughtful and relaxing practice. Blessings xxx
