Your exploration of Surya Namaskara A is full of interesting ideas, David. And bringing in the aspect of "yama" as well as meditation keeps the practice grounded in Patanjlai's Yoga Sutra. (have you by any chance studied with Richard Freeman?)

You weren't kidding about the difficulty of plank but excellent explanation.

David's delivery is different than most other instructors I've seen, but he really broke down the asanas well. I especially liked the sunflower opening analogy; it helped my positioning in third position. The "hops" in plank were a bit difficult and too much strain on my wrists, however. Looking forward to doing the next installment!

Practicing with David always puts a smile on my face. He's got such a wonderfully unique delivery! One thing that I wonder about though - is saying that there's a "destination" in a pose. I worry that by saying destination, it promotes the idea that there's a goal to each pose - somewhere that we're trying to get to, and we end up forgetting (or whizzing past) all of the activations we should be doing along the way.

David has great energy and a wonderful decunstruction of Sun salutations, also helps to build strength while doing so.
