I’m going in a place where there is no Internet access. Can I download the video before?

I am a PC/Android user - several years ago it was planned to have download capabilities other than just iOS - I also travel where there is often no internet, and with buffering issues even when I have internet it would be so nice to be able to download videos - is there anything in the works for this?...still hoping...
