Hi Linda, I love this article, and it couldn't have been stumbled on at a better time than now, almost a full year since you wrote it, 3 months into a global pandemic that has seen many of us spiral into new levels of "fight or flight" anxiety around the clock! I was looking into the book you recommend here and wondering if it might be a stretch on a academic side for me: I can do weighty, but might be better to start on something easier to dig into...any other suggestions? I'm a yoga teacher and Mom who feels this subject speaks to me, as it must to many of us struggling with the pervasive sense of alertness, uncertainty and fear that has come to be part of daily life these days!
