The Evolution of Spirit

Really, basically, if we use the expression that is very commonly used in the Indian tradition, but the characteristic of the highest divinity is consciousness. Let us see. Then as we look at the manifested universe, we can see that the quality or the level of consciousness in human beings is different from, in the animals, different from trees, different from rocks, or even within human beings, the level of consciousness is different from one human being to another, etcetera. So Therefore, the suggestion is that whatever is this particle of divinity that has created me, created Ravi, is at a certain level of consciousness. And the reason why it has bothered to create Ravi is that Ravi will undertake the appropriate actions to assist the evolution of this particle of divinity. What does that mean to assist the evolution of its level of consciousness so that, ultimately, this is, of course, the highest aim, that ultimately, it will come to the same level as brahman. So that a true sage in India could actually say, I am brahma.

And that that is the call. That's the call of the whole of the Indian tradition is to come to that level. And in order to come to that level, first of all, I need to see that I'm usually not at that level. I am at a certain level of consciousness. And that my body I keep using the word body, but it includes the mind.

Body mind is meant to be the instrument to assist the by undertaking the right actions to assist the evolution of this particle of dignity, by which I mean to assist the level of consciousness to which it belongs. Again, maybe I return to the expression that I use from my teacher. And energy is trying to evolve. That is why it comes into a body. If one undertakes spiritual practice, then one assists the evolution of this particle.

Or this energy. And then at death, it goes to a higher level. If one does not undertake the practice, then at death, it returns to its original level, but the human life is wasted. So what does that mean? So there is this energy at a certain level of consciousness. And so the reason why it has taken on this body mind is so that I can undertake the appropriate actions to assist this evolution.

And if I don't undertake the appropriate action when this body dies, it will return to its original level. That does not die. What dies is the body and that the other thing does not die. But if I undertake appropriate action, then it will be at a higher level. When so when it comes to maybe another body, it will already be at a higher level.

Which is why if you look at let us say, randomly, if you pick up 100 human beings, guaranteedly, you will see their inner spirit as at quite different levels.
