I LOVE the idea of creating rituals out of habits...making everyday things special by adding a bit of spangle to the mix keeps things interesting and sacred at the same time.  Thank you for this blog post - lots of food for thought  here...

Wow! This really speaks to me. I’m always looking to change myself and always failing! But, over time things do shift. The way you speak about rituals and routines is much the same as the ways that we create a sense of rhythm for young children, and older children and adults in Waldorf Education. The ritual aspects of our routines highlight the sacredness and rhythm of each day and activity.
