This is so lovely Kelly. What are you chanting at the beginning?
Kelly Sunrose
Thank you, Sian. The chant begins with the Nityananda blessing, salutations to the sage Nityananda. It then goes into a song between teacher and student: may we be nourished by each other, may we grow together, may we not grow resentful of one another. The final line-- sadgurunath maharaj ki jay!-- means "victory to the true guru". To me, the true guru is whatever teacher, teaching or circumstance that guides me from darkness into light.
Thank you so much for writing!
