How do we maintain all the strength, flexibility, and balance that we build during this thirty day challenge? Is there a daily routine that will help us do that?
Just completed day 5 of challenge. Very appreciative of the excellent guidance provided --- much better than 15 years of local instructors. Thank you very much.
Felt the legs shake a bit at the end of the standing series, but they felt stronger. So it’s a positive step. Still needing my knees to do a proper Chaturanga but happy knowing I’m doing it properly now instead of fudging thru it :)
Each class keeps getting better and better! I overslept last night and this was a perfect wake up!
One question...going from chaturanga to updog, do you have any tips? I'm not going very far down with my chaturanga and find that my legs need to drop before I go up into updog because I don't have enough arm strength to push me up. That transition has always mystified me.
Rosanna S, that transition is tough! My suggestion is to either bring the knees down first intentionally and then lower your chest. Or, lower your whole body to the floor and then launch into up dog. The strength will come! As a side note I often see students forgetting to tighten the quads in the descent to chaturanga. That makes the upper body feel very heavy.
